Recently, I received the results of Site Prep’s Reader Profile Study. One of the purposes of this study is to tell our staff here at the magazine what kind of information you, our readers, find the most valuable.

According to the study, more than 68 percent of respondents say they turn to Site Prep for information on new products and technologies. In fact, it is the No. 1 reason that respondents say they reference the magazine.

Since products are what you say you love, we want to continue to find ways to bring you the latest product news in the timeliest manner. Next month, the industry’s attention will turn to Las Vegas for CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2011. The monstrous event—held March 22-26 at the Las Vegas Convention Center—will feature more than 2,000 exhibitors covering 2.2 million net square feet of exhibit space, according to show organizers. Many manufacturers plan to roll out their new products at that time.

Site Prep is planning to cover the news stemming from the show in a variety of ways. First, in this issue, you will find our “CONEXPO Preview”—a sneak peek at some of the products pertaining to the site preparation industry that will be introduced at the show (See “New Products & Equipment” ).

Second, we’ve made it easy to find all CONEXPO-related news on our website, www.siteprepmag.com, by creating a section that is solely devoted to items about CONEXPO. You’ll find the section on the left-hand side of our homepage, and it will be continuously updated in the weeks leading up to the show, as well as during the event.

Third, we plan to send out a special edition of our Industry Dirt eNewsletter live from the show floor. This eNews will be packed with products just unveiled to the industry. If you’re not already signed up to receive Industry Dirt, you can do so on our website. You won’t want to miss out!

I will also be posting news to our Facebook wall (like us at facebook.com/sitepreppage) and tweeting (follow us @siteprep) as I tour the exhibits. For those of you who can’t join us in Vegas, you can keep up with the show right from the comforts of your office.

Our goal is to keep you readers up on all the latest innovations in the industry. Please let us know if there’s a way we can serve you better, and we hope you’ll stay tuned to Site Prep for all your CONEXPO news.
