At Dig This in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, grown-ups pay to play in the dirt—with Cat 315CL hydraulic excavators.

If you’re having a rough day or think your job isn’t fun, consider this: Some people would pay cold, hard cash to trade places with you. Don’t believe it? Head to Steamboat Springs, Colorado, and see for yourself.

Dig This is a 10-acre earthmoving wonderland where adults pay to play in the dirt with grown-up toys. In a safe, supervised environment, participants get to operate late-model Caterpillar skid steers, dozers and excavators to construct roads, build dams, design bridge abutments and dig trenches.

Prices range from $250 for a half-day course on a skid steer to $650 for a full day on an excavator and dozer. For more information, visit www.digthis.info.
