Champion

SP0707-Equipment-Focus-03.jpg
Champion launched its C Series compact graders with the introduction of a redesigned front axle, new moldboard and blade lift, and a stronger mount for the articulation cylinder. The new front axle provides 50º of steering angle left and right, as well as 6 in more ground clearance, up to 22 in. The C80/C86 graders are capable of turning inside a 19-ft circle with the articulated frame and offer the tightest turning radius in their class. Productivity improvements also include a 21-in moldboard and blade lift stance increased to a full 4 ft across. (www.championmotorgraders.us)

Huber

SP0707-Equipment-Focus-04.jpg
The compact Huber M850-D Maintainer provides extreme efficiency in a wide variety of grading jobs from base to finish work. It performs up to 75% of the jobs handled by motor graders. Power from the 80-hp Cummins diesel engine is directed via a Linde hydrostatic drive to the Eskridge planetary drive. The rugged construction of the Maintainer allows for many years of reliable service. The Maintainer is designed for ease of operation as well as ease of service. (www.huberohio.com)

John Deere

SP0707-Equipment-Focus-05.jpg
John Deere D-Series motor graders feature several enhancements that boost productivity: a mid-mount scarifier for the 670D, 672D, 770D and 772D models; an Integrated Grade Control (IGC) package; and a new low-speed precision mode and improved steering for all-wheel-drive machines. The 11-tooth mid-mount scarifier option is mounted between blade and front wheels for ground penetration and visibility. The Integrated Grade Control option features plug-and-play convenience and is compatible with sonic, laser or GPS systems. The hydrostatic system senses steering angle, and increases pull to allow the machine to turn tighter in 6WD. (www.deere.com)

Laser-Grader Manufacturing

SP0707-Equipment-Focus-06.jpg
Laser-Grader Manufacturing’s Model 106-6WD, equipped with a Trimble grade control system, offers a blend of grading accuracy, versatility and production capacity. The Laser-Grader is a 6-wheel-drive, diesel-powered compact grader that articulates to turn in as little as a 9-ft (outside) turning radius. The Laser-Grader can easily finish grade in excess of 50,000 sq ft per day to +/- 1/8 in accuracy (material 3/4 in or smaller). (www.laser-grader.com)

LeeBoy

SP0707-Equipment-Focus-07.jpg
