New Holland, PA (June 5, 2008) – New Holland’s new TV6070 Bidirectional tractor offers visibility and versatility that no other tractor in the market can offer. The new TV6070 model features a new 6.7L engine, a more efficient eight-range transmission, and other improvements designed to enhance the productivity of this unique tractor for regional airports, roadside maintenance contractors, snow removal contractors, municipalities and more.

The TV6070’s unique design allows it to be operated engine-end or cab-end first, making it an outstanding tool carrier. An operator can work facing either the engine or the rear because the exclusive Turnabout console rotates the seat and primary controls 180 degrees so the operator always faces the work. Full-time four-wheel drive and 45-degree articulated steering provide excellent traction and maneuverability in any conditions.

When the operator works facing the engine, the TV6070 functions like a conventional tractor for mowing tasks or pulling other implements. When the operator faces the rear, the view to the implement is unobstructed by the hood, allowing safer, more productive operation of a wide array of attachments. Loader productivity is outstanding, with a choice of 12’ or 14’ lift height loaders.

One tractor, many uses
The TV6070 is a versatile tool carrier with many uses year-round. Both ends of the tractor can be equipped with 3-point hitches, drawbars, PTO systems, and hydraulic valves that allow hookup to almost any standard attachment. There are also dedicated TV6070 attachments available that utilize the loader’s quick-attach system to mount boom mowers, push-pull mowers, snow blowers, snow plows, brush shredders, rock pickers, chippers, stump grinders, sweepers, and more. For added productivity, attachments can be mounted on both ends simultaneously if desired.

New engine
The TV6070 features a new 6.7L (411 cu.in.) diesel engine with mechanical fuel injection. This engine meets Tier III emission standards, and is capable of operating on diesel fuel or any biodiesel blend up to B1000 that meets ASTM 6751 fuel quality standards. The tractor is rated at 105 PTO hp. An optional reversing engine cooling fan helps keep the radiators cleaner when the tractor is operating in extremely dusty conditions.

Efficient hydrostatic transmission
The new transmission has eight operating ranges, with a total ground speed selection of 0 – 19 mph, depending on tire choice. The operator selects a range, and then has infinite control of the tractor’s speed with the drive control handle. The range can be shifted on-the-go as needed. If the tractor encounters a steep hill or heavy resistance, the transmission controller will automatically downshift the range, and then return to the operator’s selection when the load is reduced.

Exceptional loader capability
The TV6070 can be equipped with a front-end loader to turn the tractor into a hard-working articulated loader with a 12’ or 14’ lift height. The cab’s large glass area provides outstanding visibility all around, and with no hood to impede the line of sight, the operator can see right down to the bucket cutting edge. Plenty of breakout force and fast cycle times get the job done quickly. The loaders mount directly to the tractors frame for strength, and an innovative quick-attach mounting permits easy removal.
