Allen Carlson Leads 2011 IFPE Show Management Committee

Allen Carlson, President and Chief Executive Officer of Sun Hydraulics Corp., Sarasota, Florida is Chairman of the 2011 IFPE exposition and leads the show's management committee, a group of volunteer business executives who oversee show planning to ensure the event meets the needs of industry participants.

Vice Chairman of the show management committee is Bill Parks, President of Deltrol Fluid Products, Bellwood, Illinois.

IFPE will be held March 22-26, 2011 at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, USA. It is the leading international exposition and technical conference dedicated to the integration of fluid power with other technologies for power transmission and motion control applications. The show is co-located with the CONEXPO-CON/AGG exposition for the construction industries.

Carlson has over 35 years experience in the fluid power industry. He joined Sun Hydraulics in March 1996 serving in a senior marketing assignment, and in 1998 his focus was directed towards manufacturing operations. He was elected  President, CEO and a member of the Sun Hydraulics board in May 2000. Prior to joining Sun Hydraulics, Carlson served in various engineering, product management and sales assignments for Vickers, Inc. from October 1977 to March 1996. He is the current chair of NFPA (National Fluid Power Association), incoming chair of the MAPI presidents council and a regent at MSOE (Milwaukee School of Engineering) as well as being actively involved with Junior Achievement, serving on both local and regional boards.
