Silt Fence Plow

The new push pull model, Silt Fence Plow, allows a skid loader to be driven forward when installing silt fence. The unit can also be swung around to be pulled backwards in the center pull position or an offset position. The machine comes standard with a cutting coulter and models can install up to 48" of silt fence material. The other models available can be operated from tractors and mini skid loaders. Optional equipment includes wire unrollers for wire-backed silt fence, three point to skid loader mounting brackets, and vibratory units for extreme conditions. www.thesiltfenceplow.com

Silt-Saver, Inc.

Silt-Saver, Inc. has become known for quality sediment control products. Our newest innovation, the Belted Silt Retention Fence, offers a cost effective alternative to outdated wire and steel post applications of silt fence. The BSRF has been approved by DOTs in FL, TN and SC, and by GSWCC in GA.

The BSRF is a spun-bond polyester fabric with an internal scrim. When installed as specified, this product produces a proven system with superior filtering capabilities in slurry conditions. The BSRF has been designed and tested as a silt fence system.

SiltShield

SiltShield is the premier RFSS: Resilient, Flexible, Self-Supporting, Silt Fence. SiltShield consists of a patented three-layer composition that is trenched into the ground or placed on the back of the curb. The bottom of SiltShield is either six or eight inches below the top of the curb, creating a shield to prevent contaminated stormwater runoff. SiltShield’s durability, flexibility and resistance to breaking even when under stress allow for accidental vehicle impact. SiltShield requires less maintenance than the traditional silt fence and is also reusable. SiltShield is a widely used BMP due to the ease of installation and stormwater runoff prevention. www.siltshield.com

The Tommy Silt Fence Machine

The Tommy Silt Fence Machine ensures proper installation, maintenance-free operation, and long-term durability in the field. Proper installation is ensured through the unique soil-disrupter and moving pivot, which combine to prevent fabric from sliding out of the slice during operation, especially while maneuvering around obstacles. Other installation methods continuously fight this time-consuming challenge. The Tommy Silt Fence Machine was developed by a contractor and users can be assured it will perform day in and day out. www.tommy-sfm.com

XTS Silt Fence Installer

The XTS Silt Fence Installer from Burchland Mfg. is simple to operate and ruggedly built. The XTS features a unique single-fold, easy loading, rear discharge fabric chute that accommodates fabric 48”, 42”, 36” and smaller. This chute is simple to load with no door to open and close. The fabric makes only one fold and exits the back of the chute for smooth fabric flow with any type of fabric. The forward-mounted pivot point allows for tight curves in the silt fence installation and makes it easy for a tractor or skid steer to manipulate turns. www.burchlandmfg.com
